Bart is a second-generation builder who grew up learning the trade from his father, the founder of Reiter Construction — a name long associated with quality craftsmanship in Northeast Iowa. That early exposure to the job site gave Bart more than technical skills; it gave him a deep respect for doing things right and treating clients like family.
Today, Bart continues that tradition through Reiter Homes. He’s not just managing jobs — he’s actively involved in the build itself. Whether he’s framing a new custom home or overseeing a full renovation, Bart is often on-site, tools in hand, ensuring every detail meets his standards. His hands-on approach sets Reiter Homes apart and gives clients the rare confidence of knowing their builder is personally invested in the outcome.

Our history
Reiter Homes is built on a proud family legacy of craftsmanship. Bart Reiter grew up learning the trade from his father, Doug, who owned and operated Reiter Construction — a respected name in Northeast Iowa for decades. What started with high school summers on job sites evolved into a lifelong passion for building.
In 2016, Bart joined his brother Eddie in Des Moines to continue the family tradition, specializing in custom decks and framing homes. When Bart and his family returned to their roots in 2022, he launched Reiter Homes as a fresh chapter of the Reiter legacy — rooted in quality, honesty, and community.
